Satay Sauce



I will never forget the first time I had this in Singapore in 1984. The flavor of this sauce was like nothing I had ever tasted before.


The combination of Salty, and Sweet was completely new to me but it was so good  I ordered another round!!!

Ingredients

 

2 Tbsp Peanut Oil

 

2 Tbsp Shallot (Schalottenlök) finely chopped

 

2 Cloves Garlic chopped

 

1 Red Chile chopped

 

Fry Shallot, Garlic and Chile in Peanut Oil and mix with following:

 

¾ Cup Coconut Milk

 

¾ Cup Peanut Butter Smooth

 

1 Tbsp Fish Sauce

 

1 Tbsp Light Soy

 

1 Tbsp Lime Juice

 

1 Tbsp Light Muscovado Sugar
