Ginger Bread Santas



Gingerbread Filled Marzipan Santas.


The Cutest Santas Ever!!! 🎅🎅🎅

 


Ingredients

 

500g Cake from Gingerbread Spice Loaf (recipe below)

 

100g Butter Soft

 

100g Cream Cheese Soft Marzipan in Red & Pink Color


Recipe for Gingerbread Spice Loaf

 

240g Canola oil

1 ½ Cups (300g) Granulated Sugar

½ Cup (100g) Maple Syrup

4 Large Eggs

2 dl Creme Fraiche

3 cups (480g) Flour

2 tsk Baking Powder

1 tsk Baking Soda

2 tsk Vanilla

1 tsk Salt

1 Tbsp Cinnamon

1 Tbsp Ginger

½ Tbsp Cloves



Mix the dry stuff.

 

Cream Canola Oil and Sugar. Ha i ett ägg i taget. Ha i Creme Fraiche

 

Mixa och ha i the dry stuff. Lägg i en Loaf Pan.


Ugn 160c Fan 175c vanlig (350F). Bake 1 tim 15 min.


Making the Santas

 

Day 1

 

Bake the Gingerbread Spice Loaf according to recipe. Let cool over night.

 

Day 2

 

Mix 500g of the Loaf with Butter & Cream Cheese until well blended

Shape the batter into balls and put on a baking sheet. Place in the fridge overnight

 

Day 3

 

Roll out Pink Marzipan. Cut out rounds three times the size of the balls.


Wrap Marzipan around a cake ball and roll it with your hands until it fits snugly around each ball.

 

Make Santa hats out of the Red Marzipan. Put on top of each ball. (I glued mine with a kind of liquid sugar)

 

Make a small indentation just under the hat.


Roll a very small ball of Pink Marzipan as nose and place (or glue) just under hat.

 

These little guys are sooo cool !!!
